A wedding night in Prayagraj turned terrifying for a newly married groom when his bride allegedly threatened him with a knife, warning him not to touch her or face dire consequences. The incident, which occurred just days after a similar case in Indore, has sent shockwaves through the community and gone viral on social media.
The couple had reportedly experienced a seemingly normal wedding ceremony. However, according to the groom's family, the situation drastically changed on their wedding night. When the groom attempted intimacy, the bride allegedly brandished a knife, which reportedly had the chilling inscription, "If you touch me, your body will be cut in 35 pieces."
When confronted about her behavior, the bride revealed she was in love with someone else – her nephew, identified as Aman.
The groom's family further alleges that the bride began sleeping with a knife by her side wherever she went, creating immense tension within the household. She also reportedly made threats against the groom and his family, vowing to file false charges if they disclosed her actions.
Adding to the family's distress, the bride demanded to leave with her lover, with whom she remained in contact even after the marriage.
Just days later, the bride reportedly scaled the boundary wall of the house and eloped with Aman. The groom's family has since filed a police complaint, and authorities are currently investigating the matter.
This incident has drawn comparisons to the recent Raja Raghuvanshi murder case in Madhya Pradesh, highlighting a disturbing trend of marital disputes escalating into serious threats and violence.
